Trucking Lanes/Truck Driving Lanes

Trucking lanes are beginning to take our nation’s highways by storm. In some parts of the U.S. the interstate system is already designating truck driving lanes.

What Are Truck Lanes?

We are going to attempt to explain {in our opinion} what trucking lanes are all about.

At www.truckersresource.com we are your source for trucking jobs, news, and information. We want you to know what may be taking place all over America with our highway system. As a truck driver what we are bringing to you at Truckers Resource.com will affect you.

On Interstate 81 north in Virginia trucking lanes are becoming reality faster than you can “let the hammer down.”

Our highways are so crowded that the roars and interstates are becoming very unsafe. As you know 18 wheelers and 4 wheelers alike are all traveling in the same lanes. Some states have as many as 8 lanes of traffic going in one direction.

Trucking Lanes could Eliminate a Lot of Congestion.

With 90% of all freight being transported by our trucking companies the U.S.

Highway commission is looking at various ways to comtrol growth. In California the central valley is a likely candidate for truck toll roads or trucking lanes. Legislators in that state are concerned that traffic lanes are already over crowded.

Interstate 5 in California is heavily congested with major traffic. Truck lanes could be separated from other traffic that are traveling these roads by large concrete barriers.

Trucks could pull double trailers a lot easier and move along the highways better.

Even automobile lanes could move along a lot easier.

The state of California could make more money and pay for the barriers by a possible toll fee on a “per mile” basis.

Trucking companies could make a larger profit margin by hauling more and more freight.

With our nations population growing, trucking must grow to keep up with supply and demand.

The interstate and highway will have to grow also to accommodate our movements.

Trucking lanes are definitely in our lawmakers thought process in many parts of the country.

Trucking is a very economical way to ship our freight and services.

Trucking lanes will soon be a way of life.
